Types of vaccine

Types Function
BCG Protects child against Tuberculosis (TB).
Hepatitis B Infection that common in Asia, and infection may lead to liver problems such as cirrhosis and cancer.
DTP Stands for Diphtheria, Tetanus and Pertussis (whooping cough). These diseases used to be common and many children have died from these diseases.
Poliomyelitis Causes paralysis of the muscles.
Hib (Haemophilus influenza type B) Bacteria that can cause serious illness of brain (meningitis), lungs (pneumonia) and ears (otitis media) in young children.
JE (Japanese Encephalitis To prevent from serious infection that caused by mosquito bites.
Measles The virus is passed through direct contact with the infection or through the air. Can cause pneumonia and brain damage.
Mumps A viral infection that can cause swelling of salivary glands, brain damage and temporary or permanent deafness.
Rubella A viral infection which is transmitted by airborne droplets when infected people sneeze or cough. During pregnancy the virus can cause serious damage to the unborn baby.
Rotavirus One of the most common germs causing diarrhea, which can lead to life threatening complications.
Influenza Viruses can cause serious flu symptoms.
Hepatitis A To prevent from infection of the liver caused by Hepatitis A.
